There will be other awards i.e. Golden boots, golden goal, best player of tournament. After preliminary league at locational level, Number 1 and 2 in every location will proceed to ward level knockouts. This means 32 teams to proceed. The draw will be done in presence of all team managers of each team. At this level, FIFA approved referees will be appointed to manage this phase.

Soon other games eg Cheptulit, volleyball and net ball among other games will begin.
N/B Hon Joyce Korir Women Rep Bomet County pledged to support the tournament by half a million Kshs . We shall sit down and agree on how this will be done in free and fair manner.

Some of items procured includes balls, boots , uniforms, will be delivered this week.
We endeavor to purchase quality and ensure value for money.

This tournament just like any other has not been 100% without challenges. That’s the reason why we have dispute resolution committee (DRC)and appeals committee (AC) if a team feels that the verdict given by DRC is not satisfactory. Members of each of these committees are different.
So far five (5) teams have reported their grievances to DRC and verdict have been given. Talent committee only plan for logistics and we applaud the progress so far save for few challenges.

Advice to Youths and clubs participating in Konoin constituency tournament

Don’t be misled by politicians who want to disrupt youth empowerment initiatives for selfish gains. Some are wondering how comes its working. Some of them had opportunities for more than 10 years but could not even organize one (1) tournament. Its hardly one year and the fruits of lapaa taa are there for everyone to see.

Other youth empowerment initiatives

Licences for more than 170 boda boda boda operators are ready. The few 37 who did not do exams will do them by end of this week. We shall then set the date for distribution.  Also a program for distribution of seedlings and seeds for diversification shall be availed soon. Distribution shall be done at village group level

Other youth empowerment initiatives are loading…….
